Day 1: CITY TOUR
Morning city tour of Addis Ababa ,
visit Entoto Mountains , with very nice view over the
capital, and church of St. Marry with adjacent museum of
imperial objects. Then back to the city for the national
museum overnight hotel.
DAY 2: ADDIS
ABABA – DEBRE MARKOS
Early morning drive to Debre
Libanos and visit the monastery and the Blue Nile Gorge.
It is spectacular Scenery, and keeps on driving through
the farm land of Gojam , Arrival at Debre Markos & over
night in a hotel.
DAY 3: DEBRE MARKOS – BAHIR DAR
Drive to Bahir Dar in the afternoon
city tour of Baher Dar.
DAY 4: BAHIR DAR
After an early breakfast drives to
the Blue Nile falls 32 km far from Bahir Dar, then walk
for some distance to reach the bottom of the majestic
fall. In the After noon a boat trip on Lake Tana , to
visit the islands in the lake and its Monastery.
Overnight in a hotel.
DAY 5: BAHIR DAR
- GONDAR
Break fast in the hotel and then
Drive to Gonder which was the 17th century Capital of
Ethiopia founded by the King Fassiledes. After lunch
Visit of the palace compound, the beautiful church of
Debre Birahn Sellassie with its wonderful Murals and
paintings. At last you will have the look of the village
of Ethiopian Jews “The Falasha”. Over night in the
hotel.
DAY 6:
GONDAR - AXUM
Early in the morning drive to
north of Gondar through the Chains of the Semen
Mountains and the Tekeze river valley to the ancient
town of Axum , Picnic Lunch en route. Arrive at Axum ,
dinner and overnight in your hotel.
DAY 7: AXUM
After break fast, full day sight seeing of Axum, which
includes The park of the standing Stale carved out from
one single granite stone of the pre-Christianity Era,
the palace and tombs of one of the Axumite Empire King
Kaleb and Gebre Meskel and the old and new St. Mary of
Zion, visit of the ruins of Queen of Sheba palace,
Inscriptions of Ezana, archeological Museums etc, Dinner
and overnight in your hotel.
DAY 8: AXUM - ADIGRAT
After break fast Leave Axum and drive to Adigrat en rout
visit the pre-Axumite Temple of Yeha and Debre Damo
Monastery. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
DAY 9: ADIGRAT - MEKELE
It is the capital city of Tigray
Region . On the way visit the church of Abune Aftse ,
rock hewn church of Abraha Atsebaha . Picnic Lunch en
route; arrive in Mekele, Dinner and over night in a
hotel.
DAY 10: MEKEL – LALIBELA
After break fast drive to Lalibela
through Ambalage Chains of Mountain. Picnic Lunch en
route; arrive in Lalibela, Dinner and overnight in a
hotel.
DAY 11: LALIBELA
Morning start by visiting the first
part of the rock hewn churches of Lalibela, Dated back
to the 12th century, All carved out (inside and outside)
of a solid rock and are architecturally unique ranked
among the wonders of the world. In the afternoon, you
visit the 2nd part of the rock-hewn churches of
Lalibela, Overnight in a hotel.
DAY 12: LALIBELA – DESSE
After break fast drive to Desse, en
route visit Hyke Estifanos Monastry or Genete Mariam
semi-monolithic churches. Dinner and Over night at Desse
in a hotel
DAY 13: DESSE - ADDIS ABABA
After Break fast, departure for Addis via Debre Birehan,
Lunch en route, In the evening parting dinner in Addis
Ababa with traditional Music and Dance at one of
cultural restaurants, And departure. |
